So it’s been a busy couple of months but I promised I will do better and what better time to start than today! So, since I last wrote to you I’ve taken a couple of trips with my National Bar Association Family – Panama City, Panama and Dallas, Texas. It’s always a great time when I get to hang with my colleagues who truly have become family. Attorneys from all of the country gathering together to share experiences, practice tips, and to just have a great time. If you are a black lawyer and you’ve never been to a National Bar Association meeting, you are missing out. No matter your practice area, there is a Section or Division for you and countless opportunities to network and elevate your practice. Some of my best friends today are people I’ve met through the bar and we love traveling to new places to get together.
So I guess my blog today is meant to encourage you to join a professional organization. Actually, I challenge you to do more than join but to also become involved and active in a professional organization. It’s fun, empowering, and rewarding!
